How to Send Forms in Different Languages

Learn how to send a form to one contact or a whole group via email or SMS

May 8, 2026

The Send Form feature lets you deliver any form in your account directly to contacts via email or SMS. You can send to a single person, hand-pick a few recipients, or blast an entire group in just a few clicks.

Step 1: Open Send Form

From the left-hand sidebar in your dashboard, click Send Form. This opens the form picker where all of your available forms are displayed as a scrollable grid.

Step 2: Select a form

Click any form in the grid to select it. The form's name and description will appear on the left, and the contact panel will open on the right. If you change your mind, click the Change Form link to go back to the grid.

Step 3: Choose your recipients

The contact panel lists everyone in your contacts. Each row shows the contact's name along with their available delivery methods — email and/or SMS — as individual checkboxes. You can mix and match: send to one person by email and another by SMS in the same batch.

A few shortcuts are available to speed things up:

  • Search — type a name, email address, or phone number to filter the list instantly.
  • Select all — adds every contact currently visible in the list (using all available methods) to your send queue.
  • Add group — pick a saved contact group from the dropdown to add all members of that group at once.
  • New contact — creates a brand-new contact on the fly and immediately queues them as a recipient without leaving the page.
  • Reset — clears the entire selection so you can start over.

Step 4: Review your send queue

Your selected recipients appear as tags just below the form title on the left. Each tag shows the contact's name and delivery address. Click the minus icon on any tag to remove that recipient before sending.

Step 5: Send

Once you're happy with the list, click the Send button in the top-right corner of the contact panel. Brella will dispatch the form to every selected recipient via their chosen method. A confirmation message will appear when the send is complete and the queue will be cleared so you can start a fresh send.

Tips

Use groups for recurring sends

If you regularly send the same form to the same set of people — a weekly check-in, a monthly intake, an annual screening — save those contacts as a group. Next time, just select the form, pick the group from the dropdown, and hit Send. No searching, no manual selection.

Email vs. SMS — which to choose?

Both methods deliver a unique link that opens the form in the recipient's browser. Email works well for office environments and when you expect the recipient to fill it out on a desktop. SMS is better for mobile-first audiences or when you need a higher open rate — text messages are typically read within minutes of delivery.

Don't have contacts yet?

You can add contacts one at a time using the New contact button directly on the Send Form page, or upload a list in bulk from the Contacts section of your dashboard. See the Contacts Upload guide for details on the CSV format.
