Create Custom Screening Tools
How to Use Brella in Your Medical Clinic
Brella is a powerful tool that helps bridge the communication gap between healthcare providers and patients who speak different languages. With Brella, medical clinics can easily provide screening tools, surveys, and intake forms in the patient's native language—ensuring accurate, respectful, and effective care. Follow the steps below to start using Brella in your clinic today.
Step 1: Create an Account
If you haven't already, create a Brella account. You'll need this to access and manage patient records, forms, and translated content.
Step 2: Download the Brella Mobile App
The Brella app is available for both Android and iOS devices. Download it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
Step 3: Sign In
Open the app and sign in with your account credentials.
Step 4: Select the Patient's Language
Once signed in, you'll be prompted to choose the language that your patient is most comfortable with. This ensures they can understand and complete the form accurately.
Step 5: Choose a Screening Tool or Questionnaire
You will see a list of available screening tools, surveys, or questionnaires. Select the one appropriate for your patient's visit or care needs.
Step 6: Hand the Device to the Patient
Now hand the device to your patient. They will be able to complete the screening tool in their own language. This makes the process smoother and more inclusive.
Step 7: Review and Authenticate
Once the patient has completed the form, they will return the device to you. You will now need to authenticate yourself to access the completed form and ensure compliance with patient data privacy.
Step 8: Access Patient Responses
Tap on the Records tab at the bottom of the screen. Find the patient's name and tap it to open their responses. The completed form will now be displayed in your preferred language, regardless of the language it was originally filled out in.
Step 9: Export the Questionnaire
You have the option to export the screening tool as a PDF in either:
- Your language - for internal records or documentation
- The patient's language - to provide them with a copy of their responses
Need a Language That's Not Available?
If your patient's language isn't currently supported, please reach out to our support team. We're actively translating all of our screening tools and will prioritize your request.
